HURRICANE IDA
Hurricane Ida has left catastrophic damage in Southeast Louisiana. First responders are working to restore critical infrastructure. The response effort is limited until first responders begin restoring critical infrastructure and roads have been cleared. We are working with national partners as well as local churches and officials. We will provide updates as soon as information is available.

Congregations in Affected Areas
If you are connected to a church in any of the affected areas, please have them email us at IdaResponse@HoustonResponds.org so we can support their efforts and connect them with resources. If your congregation received damage please submit an assistance request and we will work to connect you with recovery partners in your area. General disaster response resources for families and congregations are available below and on our Disaster Resource website.

Donate online and funds will be directed to partner organizations in the affected areas.
HOST A SUPPLY DRIVE
Churches can begin collecting supplies, but be prepared to hold onto them until the affected areas can begin accepting them. Details are available on the Supply Drive page.

Partnering organizations are on-site in Louisiana serving those impacted by Hurricane Ida.

After disaster, impacted homeowners are often at a loss for what to do next. These resources are informative and help homeowners make smart decisions in a stressful time. Spanish versions are also available for many of the resources.

BASIC NEEDS ASSISTANCE - DIAL 2-1-1
The United Way Helpline (211) connects callers with critical health and human services programs for basic needs such as: food, shelter, clothing, rent and utility assistance, and physical and mental health services.

OPERATION BLUE ROOF
This is a free service to homeowners to protect their property and allow them to remain in their homes while recovering from the storm. This is for primary residences or a permanently occupied rental property with less than 50 percent structural damage. Not all roof types qualify. Get More Info
